Heart & Soul Fest is back for 2026, bigger, bolder and better than ever.

Across two epic days we’re bringing the North East together for a celebration of endurance, fitness, live music, wellness, food, vendors and community. Whether you’re racing, supporting, bringing the family, or just coming for the festival vibes, this one is for you.

What’s On

Heartbreak Lake

Our ultra-reimagined looped trail run, with 4-hour, 12-hour and 24-hour options available.

Run solo, in pairs, or as a team. Chase a PB, rack up the miles, or just come and be part of the most accessible ultra weekend in the North.

HSR Hybrid

Our outdoor functional fitness arena, powered by Process Driven Fitness and sponsored by WOD Powders.

Open to solo and paired athletes, with open and pro categories available.

Mini Deep North Run

A fun, family-friendly run for younger participants, featuring two loops of the Heartbreak Lake course.

Designed to get the next generation involved in the Heart & Soul Fest experience, and of course, Deep North will be keeping everyone fuelled with doughnuts.

Festival Arena

The main festival arena will include:

Licensed bar
Food vendors
Fitness and lifestyle vendors
Wellness activities
Morning coffee rave
Sauna
Group ice baths
Pilates
Geordie Run Club
Recovery and community areas

Some activities will be subject to availability and some sessions may need to be pre-booked.

Live music is included as part of the festival entertainment programme (arena pass) 

Arena Pass

An arena pass is required for access to the main festival arena, including the live music, bar, food vendors, wellness activities, sauna, ice baths, Pilates, coffee rave and general festival areas.

Festival arena passes are only £22.

Under 18s can attend the festival arena for free but must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Arena access is included for all 24-hour Heartbreak Lake runners.

For 4-hour, 12-hour, HSR Hybrid, spectators and general festival attendees, please make sure you add an arena pass if you want access to the main festival area, bands, wellness and entertainment.

Camping

Camping is available for the event weekend and must be booked through the event entry options.

Camping is included for 24-hour Heartbreak Lake runners.

For 24-hour runners, this works in a similar way to a backyard ultra setup. You can bring a tent or gazebo to use as your race HQ / support hub.

Maximum race hub size: 3m x 3m.

Please note: no camper vans are permitted within the event camping area.

Hard-standing camper van pitches are available separately through Druridge Bay Country Park / Northumberland County Council campsite booking system.

Some activities are subject to availability and may need to be booked in advance.
