After a rapid sell out in 2026, the North's loudest backyard ultra is back, bigger and better.
This is an official backyard ultra, following the globally recognised format made famous by Big Dog’s Backyard Ultra. One loop. Every hour. On the hour. No exceptions.
Complete the 4.167 mile loop within the hour and you earn your place on the next start line. Fail to finish in time or choose not to continue, and your race is over. Everyone will DNF, only one runner will be crowned Last Standing.
Set in the stunning Northumbrian countryside at West Benridge Farm, LSD delivers a course that's beautiful, runnable and deceptively tough as the hours build. Expect a mix of farm track, trail and woodland, all designed to keep you moving deep into the race.
LSD is more than just a race.
As with 2026, expect a full festival-style HQ and athlete village, bringing together runners, crews and spectators in one central hub. We’ll have live DJ sets in the barn, food vendors, top tier coffee, and an atmosphere that builds through the day and into the night as the field thins and the challenge gets real.
Whether you’re aiming for a few yards or pushing deep into the night chasing your limits, LSD is built for everyone. First timers and experienced ultra runners alike.
